Five pairs of pillars
The temple adopted a typical Chinese vernacular “Two-hall and Three-bay” layout. A courtyard covered with a pavilion is sitting in-between the two halls and two side chambers were constructed on its left and right. Unlike most of the traditional temples which adopted a four pairs of pillars’ structure, the building structure of Hung Sing Temple is supported by five pairs of pillars, a remarkable design distinguished itself from the others.
