The Chinese Temples Committee (the Committee) operates and manages 24 directly administered temples. The Committee usually outsources the daily management and operation of the temples through tendering exercise. The persons who have been awarded the temple management contracts can sell sacred items and provide ritual ceremonies in the temples, but they must comply with the terms and conditions of the temple management contracts.
