蓮花宮其中的一大特色，為前殿及正殿上下各有觀音神壇，跟其他廟宇將神像放在同一個神壇上，有所不同。下層是翠竹圖案的石造觀音神壇，除有竹報平安的寓意外，亦象徵觀音於紫竹林中修行；上層則是木製觀音神樓，觀音像造型古樸，神態慈祥。
莲花宫依靠巨石而建，据说当年观音大士曾于石上显圣，村民为纪念此事，于是立庙奉祀，并称该巨石为「莲花石」。
莲花石旁设有韦驮殿。韦驮是佛教的护法天神，身披金盔金甲，手上拿着降魔杵，担当着佛教中驱除邪魔，保护佛法及出家人的重任。相传释迦牟尼涅盘时，有一只「捷疾鬼」(恶魔的代称)盗取了一双佛牙舍利，幸韦驮奋起直追，将捷疾鬼抓获，从此成为能驱除邪魔外道的神祇。
A huge rock can be found besides the stairs. Some legend claimed that Kwun Yum used to make her presence on the rock. As a result, people constructed the temple to commemorate and revere the place. The rock is now commonly called the “Lotus Rock”.
Next to the “Lotus Rock” is Wai Tor Hall. Wai Tor, also known as Skanda, is the guardian of Buddhist and Buddhist Relief. He is described as a young man fully clad in the armor and headgear of a Chinese general, and usually holds a pestle as weapon. His duty is to protect Buddhist when they are disturbed by evil and tempter. According to legends, after the Buddha's passing and cremation, evil demons robbed his relics. Luckily, Wai Tor defeated the evil demons and returned the relics.
