Hau Wong Temple is the only temple in Kowloon dedicated to the worship of Yeung Hau Tai Wong as the main deity. It is believed that the temple was probably built in 1730 or earlier, with reference to the bell place inside the temple, which was casted in the 8th year of Yongzheng reign (1730) of the Qing Dynasty. The temple was protected as Declared Monument in 2014. The temple compound consists of the main hall, side halls and garden all standing on a masonry terrace. A detached pavilion is standing in front of the main hall.
