昔日蓮花宮建於山坡淺灘，為避免潮水湧入，前殿特意建於高台上，由數條石柱建築成拱形狀支撐。隨著多年來的填海及地區擴建工程，周邊的路面已被填高，地基的拱形支撐建築已被眼前的花圃遮蓋。與傳統廟宇在正面設置廟門不同，本廟的入口設於前殿左右兩側，相信與昔日廟前方為淺灘，不便進出有關，而廟宇正面則設有西洋風格的陽台。陽台兩邊外牆分別飾有蟠桃及象徵多子多孫的石榴，配以佛手瓜灰塑圖案，上刻有對聯「開窗臨海面，閉月到籠洲」及「遠看山色秀，近聽水聲清」，從中了解到本廟昔日臨海，在沒有高樓大廈遮檔的情況下，可以遠眺對岸的山景。

Lin Fa Kung was originally built on a hill slope facing the sea. It is supported by several pillars to prevent the tide rushing into it. Access to the temple was through two staircases on left and right ends of the front hall. However, due to reclamation, the temple is now situated in the maze of multi-storey buildings. Today, all the posts and footing are buried beneath the ground. Taking on the exterior, the temple’s facade decorates with peaches and pomegranates. Peaches symbolize longevity whilst pomegranates represent fertility. The building has a western-style balcony at the front. Without tall buildings in the past, visitors were able to stand on the balcony to see the coast of Kowloon Peninsula. There are two pairs of duì lián (rhyming couplets) in both sides of the balcony.
